An extract from an email written by the owner of a Ferris daughter sums it all up

"..everywhere you look they're there and in everything you do you expect to turn round and see them ,In truth you know that to perpetuate their lives in selfish and you're only doing it for you and not for them but it's the finality of it all.....knowing that you will never more shout at them when they do those irritating things seeing their ever happy disposition and feeling the softness of their coat and yearning to find something that is theirs that lies undiscovered and that you know was meant for you to find after they'd gone....
I send you my thoughts and love and hope that you will be able to focus on all the fun and rewarding times you had with Ferris -- such a lovely dog who loved you as much as you loved him. "
